The Loch Ness Monster, or Nessie, is a creature in Scottish folklore that is said to inhabit Loch Ness in the Scottish Highlands. It is often described as resembling a Pre-Historic Plesiosaurs being large, long-necked, and with one or more humps protruding from the water. Popular interest and belief in “Nessie” has varied since it was brought to worldwide attention. The "Surgeon's Photograph" is the first and remains the most famous photo of the creature. It was taken by Robert Kenneth Wilson, a London doctor in 1934. According to Wilson, he was looking at the loch when he saw the monster, grabbed his camera and snapped photos of it’s Head and Neck. More Recently While walking along the shore of the Loch a dead, baby Loch Ness Monster was found. It looked much like the skeletal remains with skin overlay of a Plesiosaurs, with 3 fins, a tail and very sharp teeth. Evidence of the Loch Ness Monsters existence is largely based on a number of photographs and sonar readings. The subculture of Pseudoscience and Cryptozoology has placed particular emphasis on the creature.
